There are several popular rule sets available for Renaissance wargaming, providing guidelines and mechanics for recreating battles from this historical period.

DBR (De Bellis Renationis): DBR is a set of rules published by the Society of Ancients. It covers the Renaissance period, from the late 15th to the early 18th century. DBR focuses on army composition, tactics, and command decisions, and uses a simple but historically nuanced system for resolving battles.

Pike & Shotte: Pike & Shotte is a rule set published by Warlord Games. It covers the period from the Italian Wars to the English Civil War (16th and 17th centuries). The rules emphasize the use of pike formations, musket volleys, and cavalry charges, with a focus on the tactical challenges of the period.

Impetus: Impetus is a set of rules published by Dadi&Piombo. It covers a wide range of historical periods, including the Renaissance. Impetus offers a flexible and scalable approach to wargaming, allowing players to recreate battles of various sizes and complexities.

Maurice: Maurice is a set of rules by Sam Mustafa. It focuses on warfare during the 17th and 18th centuries, covering the late Renaissance and early modern period. Maurice provides a detailed system that emphasizes the command and control aspects of battles and includes elements of political and strategic decision-making.

For King and Parliament: For King and Parliament is a rule set published by The Pike & Shot Society. It focuses on the English Civil War and covers the late Renaissance period. The rules incorporate historical tactics, troop types, and command mechanics to simulate battles from this turbulent period.

It’s recommended to explore these rule sets further, read reviews, and choose the one that best aligns with your gaming preferences and the specific historical era you wish to simulate.
